On July 19, 2019, organist and choirmaster Jonathan Babbitt joined with a quartet of vocalists to perform the following hymns at the beautiful Blessed Sacrament Church in Providence, Rhode Island.
Two of the selections, Holy Mary, We Implore Thee and Sweet Heart Of Jesus, have a historical link to the parish, as they were works of Victor Hammerel, a prolific composer born in Paris, who served as organist to the parish and to St. John’s Church in the same city, near the turn of the 20th century.
